it’s been a big year past us and I know that I don’t say it enough, but a big thank you to all the women and men who made www.girlparkour.com possible, with their contributions; articles, reviews, photos; and of course the ladies out there training who inspire me and others, and who are continuously pushing the level of women in parkour, higher and higher.
So have you made your new year’s resolutions? Here’s a short video from Jen Cardella, a strong woman who trains other women to be strong. Her words are inspirational and are good ones to take with us in this new year.
Wishing you a great 2012.
Confidence Through Strength – Lean Lifting PROMO from Bougie Photography on Vimeo.
All my life I’ve had a skewed definition of feminine. I read stupid magazines telling me what’s beautiful, what I should look like and what I should strive to be. I’ve hid myself behind clothes, other people, breast implants and a fear of everything. Lifting, has shown me my power, grace, beauty and fortitude I didn’t know I had. Hours of sweat in the gym have brought me my strength, which gave me confidence that opened my eyes to the real definition of feminine.
A woman with no fear, muscles, resilience, fight, determination and courage.
Life looks different through these eyes. Finding my own strength is best thing I’ve done. Bringing it to others is the next best thing I’ll ever do.
