While the US, Europe, Canada and most of the Northern Hemisphere welcomes summer, the Southern Hemisphere (i.e. Australia) says hello to winter… and those of you in the tropics (hello!) just have beautiful warm weather all year round.. lovely! I had an interesting experience last week, I was trying a flag and my Chinese friend told me, “Don’t worry, it’s all about strength – only one girl I know can do it and she was an acrobat. She’s probably the only girl in the whole of China”.
He got me thinking about how thankful I am that there are all these amazing women (and men!) worldwide who contribute to www.girlparkour.com so that I know that:
1. I’m not the only woman out there who trains.
2. There are women out there who train… HARD. And they inspire me with their stories, photos and videos.
3. The legend of the Chinese female acrobat who can do the mystical man-skill of flags is not just that… a legend.
